Why is family photography so important right now?

It’s fair to say that this year has been a pretty tough year for us all. Coronavirus has caused us all a lot of uncertainty but in many ways had brought families closer together than ever before.

I had the honour of taking family door step shoots when we were in lockdown and I really got to see love, togetherness and solidarity through the lens. I am sure that  the photos will be talked about for years to come.

We have been slowly emerging from lockdown, I have had the pleasure of doing family shoots at the beach, nursery graduations and lavender fields. It has been a real honour being able to capture these special moments. These family shoots really bring families together and document moments in our lives which we don’t want to forget.

Family shots really are special as they tell a story about your family. They will be there when memories fade. They keep on telling the story over again when we aren’t there to tell it.

That’s why I think it’s more important than ever to document these unprecedented times.  Photos are treasured keepsakes which never age!

” The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do”
